There are about 70, 16 - 18 year old teens at our event. He will have a blast! Parents will not go to the practice sessions on Thursday, so it is fine for him to follow his registration information and go to the rooms directly. Obviously younger kids and tweens will need a parent or guardian to escort them around the areas. The only social party is Friday for the Dance Party. Parents of teenagers are okay to leave them, but we will not be responsible for monitoring their comings and goings. All parents will sign an agreement that states we are not responsible for watching unattended minors. We did think of the parents tho, and we will have a cash bar in the dance party to serve legal adults beer, wine and for children we will have soda, juice and water.

For the red carpet event, this is really a family fun experience. Parents dress up and walk the red carpet with the kids, to meet celebrities and then the performance show will be so amazing, so you shouldn't miss that. Besides, what if he wins one of the cash prizes!!!!

My son is 17. I am wondering how many others are that age? Since he is that old, is a parent still expected to be at every event? I don't mean when he is performing, but during classes ? What about the social events in the evening? Parent must attend?

Hi, Lucas, my son, and I are super exciting for the opportunity to go to Disney. We are very busy with school and practicing but nevertheless, the experience alone will be worth it. Looking forward to meet the The staff and making new friends.

You don't need to apologize. We recommend using a monologue that is from a published work, unless they are a strong writer and have been working with an acting coach on an original piece. The monologue books we suggested in the monologue section of this blog are a good place to start. The monologue needs to be 60 secs or less. The topic needs to be relevant to her age and family friendly. She should find something that would be realistic for her type of personality. For an example, if she is a funny, bubbly girl, she should find a funny, quirky monologue and not something dark and dramatic.

Hi Cierra,

Gabby, my daughter, and myself are very excited and can't wait for the event.
I have a question in regards to the monologue she's supposed to do. Can it be something that she created herself? What are the requirements for the monologue? Can it be any topic?
Sorry for the questions.

Hi Karen. Shoes can be anything comfortable. We don't have any requirements. We don't recommend shorts for the Jeans event, but they are permitted in other events.

Hi Cierra! Lauren and I are really excited for the up and coming trip! We've been very busy getting ourselves organized and we have this week off so we're tying up loose ends! Sorry to ask this, as it seems that so many have, but I'm still confused about shoes to wear during the week (?) and am I correct you said "no shorts"?? Thanks for your help! We'll see you soon!
