It’s important to smile, but also important to prepare for the “S”.
Summer is here, but this isn’t stutting down the beach next to the surf in your swimsuit. This is the The Swimwear Event.
Acting isn’t all about you. It’s also about how well you play with others. For the Scene Event, enter a new player.
Are you ready for the Swimwear Event? Do you have a great swimsuit that flatters your figure? Remember, solid-colored suits are much more flattering. Be sure to avoid horizontal stripes and polka dots. Girls, you have the option between one-piece or two. Guys, board shorts, trunks or speedos (if you dare). Also, props are distracting to the industry professionals; remember the focus is on you!
Is your body in top form? The agents and managers want to see fit, healthy bodies, so be sure you are working out, eating healthy, and in great shape.
Do you currently have a workout regimen? Start slow, maybe with a brisk walk or jog and sit-ups; gradually increase your speed, intensity, and duration. Before long, you will be in tip-top shape!
Get to it!! There’s still time to get in better shape!

Are you used to acting out with friends? How you perform with others is just as important as how you perform on your own. The Scene Event brings to light that age old quote, “Acting is more than just acting. Acting is Reacting.”
Practice your Scene scripts (which will be distributed one month prior to the event) with a friend or family member and focus not only on the delivery of your lines, but on your reaction to the other performer’s lines. Be sure to note which lines are funny and deliver them with a punch. Keep to the script, but add your own sense of the character.
Be sure to keep your hair out of your face and dress to match the scene without taking away from your performance itself. You will be allowed to hold your script, but use it as a safety net and not a cruch.
Tip: We want to see your reaction. Keep your head up and let us see your eyes!
A great resource to study scripts is only a click away.

Do you have to pay more for that or is it part of one of modeling?

Each modeling package is slightly different:
Option 1: Has Runway and Swimwear events
Option 3: Has Runway and Swimwear, with Jeans and TV Beauty Commercial
Option 5: Same as Option 3 with all Acting events.

Do contestants signed up for Talent go to the beach? Or do only modeling contestants go to the beach to show how well we interact with people?

Hi Kristen,
The beach is over 45 mins away. We do not have any events at the beach. I guess I’m a little confused by your question. Can you clarify what you are asking specifically?
Thanks

This swimwear event, does it involve actual swimming? What if my baby cannot swim?

Sorry. Hi.
I meant, do only contestants who are signed up for modeling go to the beach during the schedule?
Thank you

Hi Kristen,
No one goes to the beach or will be in swimming pools. In the packet it says “contestants will walk the runway”. Please make sure you go through the packet of info and read all the blogs for more details regarding each individual showcasing event.
All modeling events, other than the TV Beauty Event will be in the main ballroom. You will leave the Swan Ballroom Convention area for any of the events.
Hope that helps

Hi,
I’m a little confused on somethings. First, who is to attend the dance party event thing on friday night? Just the talent and models, or their parents and family too? Also, what should we wear to that event? Do we need dresses and skirts, sundresses, or just like shorts and jeans kinda thing?
Thanks for you time!

Parents and family members that have a badge may attend the dance party. You can wear whatever you like that is age appropriate and comfortable.
